AGNIESZKA CYRANKA-PYTLIK

I create paintings and photographs in which color, form, and structure engage in a quiet dialogue. I am inspired by contrasts — both chromatic and geometric — as well as by details of contemporary architecture that draw attention and invite a moment of pause.

In painting, color is central to my work. I am fascinated by its expressive power, emotional depth, and ability to build tension and shape space. My compositions are restrained and deliberate, marked by rhythm and balance. They are based on the juxtaposition of a few intense colors embedded in abstract, geometric forms, often enclosed within a square format.

In photography, I seek structures and rhythms present in the surrounding world. I am particularly drawn to black-and-white aesthetics, nuances of light, tensions between line and form, and subtle contrasts that allow space to be perceived from a new perspective.

Painting and photography — though different in means — are for me complementary languages. Through them, I explore emotion, structure, and the relationship between human presence and space.
